He Is Risen: Reflecting on the Hope of the Resurrection Through Christian Easter Art: Religious Easter Wall art

In many homes, Easter arrives with joyful traditions, baskets, spring flowers, pastel colors, and family gatherings. But somewhere beneath the celebration is something deeper: a quiet moment of reflection on the hope that the Resurrection brings.

This year, I found myself thinking about Easter not as a single Sunday on the calendar, but as a season.  A time to sit with the story a little longer, to reflect on the light that follows the darkest moments, and to remember the peace that the Resurrection offers.

As I spent time studying and reflecting on that message, I began exploring the story through watercolor.

Watercolor has a softness to it that feels fitting for sacred moments. Layers build slowly, light moves gently across the page, and the final image often feels less like something forced and more like something that quietly appeared over time.

These three paintings grew out of that personal study.

He is risen

Each piece reflects a different moment of the Resurrection story.  Moments filled with stillness, wonder, and light.

The first captures the feeling of walking toward something sacred, drawn forward by a quiet sense of hope.

The second reflects the stillness of a holy place, where heaven and earth seem to meet in a moment of reverence.

The third focuses on the light itself.  The reminder that even the tomb could not hold back what was meant to rise.

Together, these pieces became what is now the He Is Risen Watercolor Art Set.

I created them as a way to hold onto the feeling of the season.  The quiet reverence, the hope, and the reminder that light always returns.

Because this message is something many of us want to keep close during the Easter season, I’ve made these pieces available as a digital watercolor art set in my shop.

The collection includes three printable pieces that can be displayed together or individually in your home.

Many people enjoy placing seasonal artwork in spaces where they naturally pause throughout the day:

• on a bedside table
• in a reading corner
• near a quiet study space
• in a hallway or entryway

Simple reminders like these can gently bring our thoughts back to what matters most.

Since this set is a digital download, you can print the artwork in the size and style that fits your space best.  From framed prints to canvas or fine art paper.

If you’re looking for a way to bring a little more reflection and peace into your home this Easter season, these pieces were created with that intention in mind.

Wherever this Easter season finds you, I hope it brings moments of quiet reflection, renewed hope, and the gentle reminder that light always returns.

Warmly,

Kelly
