Wildwood Picnic Toile Wallpaper – Heirloom In Blue

Wildwood Picnic Toile is the slow, sun-dappled kind of afternoon I wish every weekend held: a quilt spread beneath a grand old oak, a thermos of something warm, and nowhere else to be. I drew it in the spirit of an old French toile, tucking little woodland vignettes into every repeat: spreading oak trees, a picnic blanket waiting in the grass, an alpine lake resting at the foot of the mountains, pinecones and oak leaves, a pair of songbirds keeping watch over their nest, and butterflies and dragonflies drifting through it all. Rendered in soft heirloom blue on a warm cream ground, it feels like a treasured storybook, classic and collected, yet calm enough to live with every day. I love it with warm wood, crisp white bedding, blue-and-white ironstone and a pair of brass candlesticks glowing at dusk.

Perfect for: bedrooms, dining rooms, entryways, home offices, reading nooks, guest rooms and powder rooms.

Pairs beautifully with: my Heirloom Garden Trellis, whose soft blue blossoms make a lovely companion in an adjoining room or hallway.
